Hello dearest Boudoir Babes,
We are SO thrilled to be back and hold space for our dance community <3 The Bou Bou team has been getting some rejuvenating rest and planning a grand return with a new plan for the year - we'll be hosting 3-4 special dance events throughout the year. We’re feeling the turn of the season, the sun is beginning to feel warm, flower buds are poking their head through, more hours of daylight are upon us in the waking hours, the season of magic & change is upon us.
We will convene for a dance gathering Saturday April 12th at a *new* dance location in Boston. A gorgeous space with plenty of room for ecstatic release. We're quite excited to welcome an extremely talented selector from Detroit: BEIGE.
BEIGE by name but definitely not by nature, this DJ specializes in multi-hued, carefully considered and highly danceable sets. Whether they’re playing smooth R&B and downtempo soul, crunchy electro, cheeky disco edits or oddball tech house, the only constant in their sets is quality. They made their club debut proper in Detroit in 2017, immediately grabbing the attention of the cognoscenti with their wide-ranging, on-point selections and silky, inventive transitions. Uninterested in gimmickry or self-promotion, they prefer to let their work speak for itself, collecting a growing number of fans and increasingly impressive bookings along the way. As likely to play a huge hit as to introduce you to your new favorite track, BEIGE occupies an important niche between their stuffier and less imaginative peers. When the conditions are right, they endeavor to create transcendental dancefloor moments akin to opening a wormhole, “where everybody in the room is collectively participating in this consciousness-melding experience and I'm just the conductor.” Armed with a healthy disrespect for genre and convention and a discerning but unpretentious music collection, BEIGE aims to please, but more commonly thrills, delights, and inspires.
Boudoir residents Bricklayer & Mx. Blaire will open up the night.
Come early and stay late! Music will kick off right at 9pm and run until 2am. Tobias & Topher will be bringing their System Failure soundsystem to provide amplified sonic support. Venue address will be emailed to ticket holders. If you need any assistance throughout the event, look for Boudoir staff wearing purple light-up wristbands.
A non-alc drink bar will be available at the venue, think soda & redbull. Free water available all night.
